Coffeehouse conversations. The sounds of other people's conversation in a crowded coffee house can be heard throughout the dialogue. The characters can be discussing whatever they like, and can choose to ignore other people's conversations, or not. I hope this is clear.


Another thing that struck me. Being in a foreign land where you can't read the alphabet (arabic, characters, hangul, phonecian, etc.). The characters can both speak the same language (be fellow travelers, etc.), or it could be a conversation between a native and the traveler, neither of which speak each other's language well.

Just a thought.
